Tenants Association
Welcome to Clerkenwell Close
Tenants Association
Our site provides an introduction to Clerkenwell Close TA, an explanation of how the association works, and news about issues that affect our local community.
We Rely on Donations to
Support Our Local Community
The TA relies on donations to keep the TA running, providing us with needed funds for the website costs, IT equipment, the community garden, and to pay for TA community events.
How we Operate as a
Tenants Association
Association Membership
Clerkenwell Close Tenants Association’s membership is restricted to a few local buildings found in Clerkenwell Close, London EC1.
Community Meetings
We hold regular meetings throughout the year to ensure the smooth running of the buildings, maintenance, and social events.
Donate and Support
Currently, we rely on donations from our tenants, landlords, and film production crews who are regularly in Clerkenwell Close.
Personal Advocacy
We help residents to get the services they are entitled to: speaking to the council, filling complicated forms, dealing with your landlord when fixing issues with your home, and many other issues where residents need an extra helping hand.
Community Partnerships
We maintain connections with other organisations, businesses, and local groups, such as Islington Green Preservation Society, Islington Council, Islington Police, Finsbury Library & Local History Centre, and many more.

Amazing Community Spirit
I’m amazed at the thriving local community spirit in the close. The TA allows us to get together either for community activities or simply a social get-together.

Received Help Working from Home
When I moved in, Clerkenwell Close Tenants Association members helped me set up an Internet connection and wifi so I could begin my business from home.

A Great Way to Volunteer
Volunteering to help out with TA matters gives us a sense of fulfilment that we’re making the community a better place to live in.

We all Get Stuck in When Needed
Everyone got stuck in with hard work. The TA got together and put up a fence around one garden without help from the landlord.
